I am looking for an source for online yellow pages that shows color
scanns of all the yellow page books nationally and or internationally.
Would like to search a city and have it as if I am thumbing through
the yellow pages myself but only online.

Would you like to mention the city you wish to look through? Perhaps
that city has a web page version of its yellow pages rather than just
scanned pages. I think scanned pages take too much space since they
are graphics files.

Again, I am looking for a any source, As many sources prefebly one
national source that has scanned all yeloow page adds nationally
online The color is nat that important. Your find must allow me to
search a city or at least major metropolitan cities as if I am
thumbing through the yellow pages myself but only online. Don't assume
that it takes up too much spae or anything like that! It is out there.
You can find it. We are an advertising firm that creates yellow page
adds adn would like to have this as a reference for our business. This
gives us the ability to look at other adds in the major cites with
online access with out going to the library

Thank you for your clarification. I'll see if those Yellow Pages
resources are up on the Net.

Now that you've explained it, I realize that my idea about what you
were looking for was wrong. I had assumed you were looking for scans
of every page within a phone directory, including just addresses and
phone numbers. Then you mentioned ads. Aha! And you are working for an
ad agency. I got the picture. So after that, my searches turned up a
possible candidate in the form of a Yellow Page directory with ads on
listings that are like the fancy ads in the print Yellow Pages.
They're not actually scans, but ads of the listed company that were
designed for that Yellow Page listing. Are you interested in this
answer?

Your clarification made the job easier. But you're still the judge on
whether I found the right result.
The site below from Australia is the closest thing I could find to a
“scanned” phone book ad directory. It contains ad designs like those
found in a print phone book, though the contact information is often
separated. Just to be sure I get fancy ads, I checked the "graphic
design" category, and they did have big ads.

Yellow Pages Online - Australia/New Zealand
http://www.yellowpages.com.au
- First, there is a typical Yellow Page listing. Click on "more info,"
then the ad will be shown.

Yellow Pages Online - New Zealand - Online ad requirements
http://www.yellowpages.com.au/yp/advertise/advertise_online.html
- This page came up first in the search results that led me to believe
this is what you were looking for.

-------------

SMARTPages.com - Online Business Directory and Internet Yellow Pages
http://www.smartpages.com/
- I also looked in the graphic design section of this yellow pages,
and there are a few, but not as big and elaborate in design as the
ones I found above. They are more like company logos.

-------------

These are other sites that are online directories, but they don't have
big fancy ads. Just titles and logos, akin to what is found in
SMARTPages.com. Some of them though seem to be offering graphic ads
posting:

Pages

White Pages Phone Directory

YellowOnline.com
http://www.yellowonline.com

------------

Max Effect Yellow Page ad design
http://www.max-effect.com/
- I'll just mention this on the side since it is an ad design company,
but it does have samples you might want to look at.

Search string on Google:
online yellow pages city
online phone directory
scanned yellow pages ad/ads - the Australian site came up here, and I
just browsed through it

I hope this provided you with what you were looking for.
