Question ID: 112690
Back on November 6 I asked: What are the top 20 ammenities that
seniors would seek in a retirement community that would be located in
the Caribbean?

https://answers.google.com/answers/main?cmd=threadview&id=100234

Since the first posting due to no answer I have increased my fee a
couple of times.

I have referred to: 'How do I price my question' for advice but so far
have been unable to generate an answer.

My question is: What is the best way to word and price my first
question that will generate my answer?
Answer
There is no answer at this time.

Hi Brudenell,

I considered answering the question you referred to. It wasn't the
price that prevented me from posting an answer. Rather, I was unclear
on several things:

1- What type of senior population are you interested in? Active,
independent, healthy seniors are likely to rank the importance of
certain amenities differently than seniors with lifestyle restrictions
due to medical problems.

2- What type of community are you interested in? For example, where I
work, people often use the phrase “retirement community” to refer to
assisted living communities and to independent living communities.
Assisted living communities typically have staff to assist residents
with meals and certain activities of daily living. Independent
communities generally do not offer this service. Knowing which type of
community it is makes it easier to discuss amenities.

3- Are you looking for published lists of amenity popularity rankings,
or are you looking for insight from someone with a specialized
knowledge of seniors?

So ... if you can specify more clearly the type of seniors, the type
of community, and how you define "top 20," you will probably get a
fine answer from a researcher.

Best wishes,
fsw

Hello fsw

Thank you for your detailled comment.

Your clarification requests are certainly valid.

1)	The senior populations that I am interested in are both the active,
independent, healthy senior and seniors (55 -85 years) with health
concerns.

2)	I am interested in multi residential neighbourhoods. My scope of
interest does not include assisted living facilities but a retirement
community could include support by such a facility.

3)	The answer could be from someone with specialized knowledge of
seniors and include published lists of popular amenities. The 'top 20'
amenities could simply be those requested the most by prospective
tenants seeking such accommodations.

I appreciate your interest

Brudenell
