Hey! How long do I get access to the answer-link you provided? I was
away from my computer for an hour after I submitted my question, came
back, clicked on the google-answer link, and got this message:

"Please resubmit your search
Search results are only retained for a limited amount of time.Your
search results have either been deleted, or the file has been updated
with new information. "

Am I supposed to sit and wait after I submit? Betsy

Hello Betsy--

Last night I sent an e-mail to the ga editors to find out what might
be the problem. They're working fine on my end.

You may want to e-mail the editors yourself. Their e-mail address is
answers-editors@google.com

When you're e-mailing them, please reference Question ID: 112845.

I'll let you know when I hear from them, as well.

Betsy--

Hey, try this.

Go to http://thomas.loc.gov. In the box that asks for a "word/phrase,"
enter "E-Government"

Click on the link for "5 . E-Government Act of 2002 (Reported in
House)[H.R.2458.RH]"

Scroll down and click on Section 205.

I hope this works better for you.

Try going to the front page of Thomas:
http://thomas.loc.gov/

And then, using the "bill number" search box, searching for "H.R. 2458"
(Do not use the quotation marks when performing your search.)

Hi,
Going to the front page of thomas and entering HR 2458, as suggested,
gave me 4 versions of the bill. I can't tell which of the four
versions passed both houses of Congress, so I haven't been able to get
my question answered yet. help?

Use the version received in the Senate from the House (RDS). That's
the November 15, 2002 legislation, with the attestation of the clerk.
As the Bill Summary & Status page indicates, that's the day the bill
was cleared for the White House.

(Incidentally, those not familiar with the Thomas site are not likely
to realize that its links expire at the end of a user session. It is
unfortunate that the links darrel-ga gave you had expired, but I would
venture that they did lead to the correct documents prior to their
expiration.)
