Hi Bluestreak,

I'm happy to say that there is only a birth date for Wilhelm Klepper.
I've contacted the Bamberger Symphoniker and a member of the group
just got back to me saying that Mr. Klepper is alive and well, giving
me his home phone number and address. Unfortunately though, I can't
post his exact response, since I'm not allowed to post "private
information about individuals" here
(https://answers.google.com/answers/faq.html#whatquestions).

That said, you can find his contact info on
http://oetb.teleauskunft.de/DB4Web/es/oetb2ort/oetb_1.htm -- the
online German phone book. In "Name/Suchwort", type in "Klepper" and in
"Ort oder Vorwahl" type in "Memmelsdorf". If you then hit the
dark-blue "Suchen" button, you'll get an "Ortsliste" with three towns
to choose from: Memmelsdorf, Untermerzbach, and Memmelsdorf again.
Click on the first "Memmelsdorf", and – voilą - you've found his info.

Please let me know if that helps.

Hi gwagner. Fantastic tip. I tried to call a while ago, and got an
answering machine. I'll be persistent, however. If I can get him on
the phone and he gives me his birthday, I'll let you know right away
and rate you well.

Hi gwagner,
I have good news. I just finished speaking with Wilhelm
Klepper in Germany. I was able to sucessfully complete the answer to
my question, thanks to your excellent research skills! I am elated.
The conversation went fairly well. For a while I couldn't believe I
was really speaking with him because he sounded like a young man. But
his English was just good enough for him to tell me he played the
violin, was born Jan.8,1924, was 78 yrs. old. What really convinced me
was when he mentioned the Nurnberger Symphony. Then I knew I was
privleged to be speaking with one of the GREAT violinists of the
century. He may be suffering from Alzeimer's a little, but we did
connect sufficenty to verify my answer. So could you please re-submit
your info as an answer so I can credit, rate and tip you. Thank you so,
so much for your brilliant intuitive hunting skills. Bluestreak

Hi Bluestreak,

thank you once again for your honest reply to this question! I'm glad
my info was helpful to you. Oh, and since every Google Answer should
in fact include the answer, it's "January 8, 1924", as far as I know.
:)

Thank you so very much, gwagner. This isn't the first time that your
uncanny intuition has led to my happiness. You've done this before. I
dread my phone bill, however. Might you be persuaded to tackle Emil
Hauser,violinist?

Thank you tehuti. I already had that, but I want to show you my
appreciation for every single search you do on my behalf. From now on,
I will state in my questions what I have. I've tried to do that
somewhat already but I will try and improve. Again, thanks for what
you're doing, even if this stuff is tough.
