Hi bluestreak-ga,

Thanks for your question.

As markj-ga says in the comment before, musician David Jerome
Oppenheim was indeed married to Judy Holliday (they married in 1948)
and had a child with her.

According to Who's Who in America, Oppenheim was born on April 13,
1922 in Detroit, Michigan.

"Who's Who in America," 56th ed., 2002. Wilmette, IL: Marquis Who's
Who, 2001, p. 3970.

Search strategy:

“Biography and Genealogy Master Index.” Detroit: Gale Research Co.
(online database) gave me the listings for Who's Who in America.

I hope this answers your question. If you need additional information,
please ask for clarification and I will do my best to assist you.

Regards,
luciaphile-ga

Luciaphile,
Thank you again so much. This is getting to be a habit. One I
love. All I would like to know now is if he's still alive. If he is,
the question is answered, and I'm satisfied. If you cant'f find
anything more, I'll be satisfied that he's still with us & close the
question. Great research Luciaphile!!

Hi bluestreak-ga,

I did a search through the Social Security Death Index (several
variations of his name and using DOB), also through several
proprietary newspaper/periodical databases and nothing turned up.
Given that he's in the most recent "Who's Who in America" and that
he's still a relatively prominent individual, I'd be surprised if his
death didn't warrant making the news in some way. I can't be a 100%
Oppenheimer is alive, but I'm reasonably certain.

Hope that helps!

Regards,
luciaphile-ga

Dear luciaphile, After viewing the entry for Biography Resourc Center,
I'm satisfied that he's still alive in retirement. So I'm closing the
question. Thank you so so much for your excellent searching skills.

He was also the husband of Judy Holliday, star of stage and screen in
the 1940s and 50s.

Hi bluestreak,

Will just the Year of birth and death do or do you want the day and date as well?

Dear theta,
The year of birth & death would be more than I have now, but
truthfully, I really need the actual dates for this reason. With dates
& places, I can then email the nearest public library to email or mail
me the obituary. Without it,I'm still stuck without his life's
particulars. But again, right now I got zip. Don't even know if he's
still with us. I guess I'll take what I can get and re-post the same
question later.

Hi luciaphile,
Yes, I'm also satisfied that he's still alive. Consider your
answer as having satified the question. Keep it up. You're doing
amazing research.
