According to a New York Times obituary,
Goesta Andreasson was born on December 9, 1894 in Goteborg, Sweden. He
passed away on June 10, 1982 (the obit is dated June 10, 1982,
Thursday and states he died on Tuesday) in Riverdale, the Bronx. He
was 87.
Andreasson was a second violinist for the Busch Quartet from 1919 to
1943. After leaving the quartet, he went to Carnegie-Mellon to teach
(he stayed until 1963).
