Hello eksolutions Cayetano Gaos was the owner of an art gallery called Acanto. A few months before coming to see Lola, a private detective, he had bought some paintings by a famous surrealist artist called Urpiano at an auction in Barcelona for 50 million pesetas (about 300,500 euros). Urpaino's paintings were very similar in style to those of Salvador Dali. Then Cayetano began to suspect that the paintings were forgeries, however he did not think they were forgeries of paintings by an artist called Urpiano. His suspicion was that no painter called Urpiano ever existed. He wanted Lola to help him prove this. Lola decided to take on the case not only because Cayetano was willing to pay her a good sum of money, but also because she found him rather attractive. Search strategy: I went to the link provided in the question and read the first part of the story. |
