I found some very large Christmas glass decorations last year in New
Orleans, but the store doesn't have them any more.  They were about
12" or so glass Santas and christmas trees and were $50 to $200. 
Similar to a tree ornament, but they were standing.

Are the ornaments in the old-fashioned "German glass" style (blown and
painted), or are they clear glass? Also, are the ornaments marked with
a maker's name?

These were large glass santas that look just like a colorful ornament
that you would hang on a tree, but they stand at about 14".  They may
be mercury glass, and I believe that they originate from China.
