Hello--

I have carefully researched your question and have your answer.

In 1966, Lufkin Rule stopped making precision tools. The company
merged with Cooper Industries on June 1, 1967. In 1968, the company's
Saginaw office closed after a short union strike. So, to answer your
first question, the plant in Saginaw is no longer in existence.
However, it is still in business under the same name.

You may read an extensive timeline about the Saginaw company online.

Lufkin is still in business. Lufkin is a division of Cooper Tools and
Cooper Industries. You may still order Lufkin products from Cooper.

You may view a Lufkin catalog online. The link is

If you need a phone number to call for Lufkin products, you may
contact Cooper customer service. The phone numbers are:

To conduct this research, I searched the following terms: "lufkin

I hope this helps! If you need any clarification, please don't
hesitate to ask.

I also called Cooper to confirm that they own Lufkin for you.
