The birth year of 1930 corresponds with a 1995 Newsday article written
about her. In the article, Ms Black refers to herself as being 65.

As a dancer she performed with the Ballet Rambert in London, the
American Ballet Theater in New York City. She did one year at the
Ballets Alicia Alonso in Cuba and then moved back to New York to
perform with the Metropolitan Opera Ballet for four years. She then
turned to teaching.

"Black Magic for Ballet Maestro Maggie Black, Teaching Remains 'the
next stage," by Jee Young Shin. Newsday. August 9, 1995, p.B3.
