I'm looking for information about an English artist who died either in
the late l930's or early 1940's.  His name was either M.J. Rundell or
M.J. Rierdell.  I have a painting of a Victorian era street scene
probably from London.

How sure are you about his date of death?  I found an artist named M.
J. Rendell who died in 1980.  Does the painting here

I suppose the death dates provided could have been misrepresented. 
The artist bio provided by the Austin Galleries i.e. "He painted
scenes from the area (banks of Loch Lomand) are not consistent with
the painting I have of a street scene of Victoria London.  Could it be
someone else?
