I am looking for a specific plush reindeer that I have seen several
times in displays. It is a very large, very lifelike, very well-made,
and very rare reindeer. It looks like it was made by The Steiff
Company, but it is not made by Steiff. It has a harness and saddle.
It is over 2 feet tall not counting the antlers. It is like a very
well made "studio-type" stuffed animal. It is not animated. Also, it
is not made by Annalee or Hansa. Although, it is of the same quality
of Steiff or Hansa. I do not know who the manufacturer is. It may
have been made in Italy or Germany, but I'm not sure. Ultimately I
would like to purchase one. If you have one for sale or know where I
can buy one please let me know! Thanks

Hi Dinosaurbry,

Please take a look at this large reindeer.
http://www.lucidmatrix.com/uploads/reindeer.jpg

Description:

This large reindeer was a promo giveaway at a local Hallmark Cards
Dealer for Christmas 2001. He is 42 inches tall seated (excluding his
huge antlers). He wears a jumbo 3 inch gold jingle bell on his neck
attached to a red fabric collar. His ears are lined in a different
color than his body.

Could this be what you are looking for?

Thanks

I apologize; the reindeer I located doesn’t have a harness and saddle.
I will continue to search for the reindeer you require.
Thanks

Hello, Here is clarification for bobbie7-ga: Dear bobbie7 Thanks
for the help. The reindeer I am looking for is at least 15 years old.
It is much more realistic looking than the Hallmark reindeer. As I
said before it is rare. I have seen 4 in the last 12 years.

Here is clarification for jackburton-ga: cuddlyanimals.com.uk photo:
made by Hansa. dollbox.com photo: made by Annalee. Although they are
very good, in my ad I said the deer is not by Annalee or Hansa. The
other two are Gund and Dakin respectively. They are not the ones I am
looking for. Although they are nice as toys they are not as precisely
made as the one I am looking for.

Please keep trying!! I really appreciate all the help so far!

This is a reply to pmrozik-ga: The Studio reindeer you have listed is
beautiful but it is not the one I am looking for. The one I am
searching for is a more uniform brown color, with a colorful saddle
and harness. If anything it looks more like the Steiff Reindeer
pulling the sleigh for the Steiff teddy dressed like Santa except 10X
the size. I hope that helps! Thanks

Hello Researchers:
I have a photo of a similar reindeer saved to my computer. I do not
know how to put it on here. I would be willing to email the photo as
an attachment to any of you. I am waiting for Goggle Answers to tell
me how to possibly put it up. They said they cannot answer for at
least 72 hours. If any of you have any suggestions please let me
know. Thanks again to all of you.

You can simply post a clean and clear image of the reindeer on the
Internet and give us the link here. This is the best way you can show
us what your idea is.

Thanks

I tried posting a photo of a similar reindeer that I am looking for as
follows:

http://atlantic.photoisland.com/servlet/com.arcsoft.UtilMain?com=arcsoftUtil&jobtype=zlargeview3&c2simple_next=largeview3mbr.html&newpict=16070066&size=lg

Please note this is not the one I am looking for. This is being
offered as an auction. This one is small, and an antique. The one I
am looking for is only similar! The one I am looking for was made in
the last 20 years, therefore it is not an antique. It is also much
larger. Thanks again.
P.S. This is my first time ever trying to post a photo! Sorry if it
does not come out.

Hello!

I realize that you had mentioned the one you're looking for isn't made
by Steiff, and what I am listing is. Nevertheless, in order to narrow
my search down and get a feel for what it is that you need, please
tell me whether the picture of the reindeer below is what you had in
mind. It will give me an idea of what I need to be looking for.
