Hell greatone, Great question! The true statement and answer you need is : 2) Most type II diabetics are obese. Number 1 is false. To prove this answer is indeed correct, we can disprove number 1, or prove number 2 true. I immediately chose to disprove answer number 1. Here is what I was able to find. Most references are on medical sites : NSPA Personal Training Journal "...and sometimes type II diabetics require insulin." http://www.nspainc.com/journal11.htm About diabetes "...as many as 30% of Type 2 diabetics require insulin injections" http://www.optium.com/canarie/diabetes.htm PHC4 "...estimate that 40 percent of Type 2 diabetics require insulin injections" http://www.phc4.org/reports/mandates/656/overview_of_diabetes.htm I couldn't resist proving the correct answer to be true as well :-) Approval of Diabetes Education Program "...healthy diet (most Type II diabetics are obese) and exercise..." http://www.tea.state.tx.us/sboe/schedule/9901/diabetes.html I hope this answers your question. Should you need more resources or clarification, please ask before rating this answer as I would love to be of assistance. To help find this answer I searched Google for: Most type II diabetics are obese ://www.google.com/search?q=%22Most+type+II+diabetics+are+obese%22 Type 2 diabetics require insulin ://www.google.com/search?q=%22Type+2+diabetics+require+insulin%22& Thanks for the great question!
