Hi, Simon,

Are you looking for individual phone lines, or are you looking for
blocks of numbers to resell yourself?

Hi Simon152-ga,

Germany had until a few years ago a regulated telecomunications
market. The only provider of any kind of service was the Deutsche
Telekom. Nowadays the market has been deregulated but Deutsche Telekom
is still the main provider and the network supplier, specifically in
the sector of '0900' style numbers. In Germany these numbers are
actually '0190'

The deutsche telekom has a general web site here:

http://www.telekom.de/

the business related section is here:

http://business.telekom.de/

and the service you are looking for is here:

http://business.telekom.de/10_Festnetz/50_Servicenummern/45_Service_0190_0190-0/index.html

There are several options of configuration to choose from - basic
service starts at EUR 5.80/month according to their web site.

Please also note that the business part of the web site is completely
in German and the English section only contains 'international'
Telekom services (i.e. T-Mobile, video conferencing, etc.) but no
German services. If you do not speak German, you might be able to get
the English information by calling the Telekom telephone number (in
Germany) 0800 7736486. Hopefully they have an English speaking
operator.

If you have any more questions, please let me know.

Sincerely,
Morgenlandfahrer-Ga

Hi Simon152-ga,

Deutsche Telekom expressively allows for reselling ('Unteranbieter').
Please have a look at their general business practices for 0190
services ('Allgemeine Geschaeftsbedingungen' - AGB) on the website
previously mentioned:

http://www.telekom.de/dtag/agb/dokument/pdf/0,1384,777,00.pdf

Their intelligent network management service allows you to forward
received 0190 calls to any number and it's also prgrammable based on
time and date.

You can also buy a block of numbers.
The detailed price list can be found here:

http://www.telekom.de/dtag/agb/dokument/pdf/0,1384,779,00.pdf

Btw. I have also found, that there will be a new service '0900' which
will replace 0190:

The new service is handing out numbers since 2/2/02 and the new 0900
'Premium Rate Service' (PRS) can be used starting 1/1/03 (however,
0190 will still be valid until 2005).

Deutsche Telekom has some further info here:
http://www.telekom.de/dtag/ipl1/cda/level1_a/0,3678,12533,00.html

The AGB are here:
http://www.telekom.de/dtag/agb/dokument/pdf/0,1384,824,00.pdf

Also, the these new numbers are not actually handed out by Deutsche
Telekom, but in a move to further deregulation, are handed out by the
telecommunications regulations commission (REGTP -
http://www.regtp.de/) not only to networks (like Deutsche Telekom) but
also directly to content providers and others (resellers).

This page contains all infos on how to order a 0900 number in Germany
from the REGTP:
http://www.regtp.de/reg_tele/start/in_05-06-03-04-00_m/fs.html

You can even request numbers online:
http://mwd.regtp.de/webantrag_2.asp

Hope this clarifies and answers your question.

Best Regards,
Morgenlandfahrer-ga
