I once read that Amazon.com purchased from the Library of Congress or OCLC a list of all books published in the United States in order to develop their catalog. Who do I contact or how do I go about purchasing such a list? |

Hello, I contacted the Library of Congress and they offer no lists such as the one you are looking for. However the OCLC told me that you might be able to purchase such a list from them, but you will have to call their toll-free number and ask for Sales, and then ask Sales to have a consultant call you back. Their phone number is: 1-800-848-5878 (USA and Canada) Found at: http://www.oclc.org/contacts/ There is a good chance that you will be able to purchase the list from the OCLC in electronic format. I hope this is the information you were looking for. If you need any clarifications or further research, please let me know and I will do my best to further assist you. tisme-ga Search Strategy: Phoned Library of Congress & OCLC. Did not come up with much useful information searching for other organizations who provide this service. |
