The resource is called Chain Store Guide.  Chain Store Guide is “the
number one information resource for people seeking in-depth,
up-to-date data on the retail and foodservice marketplaces.”  This
company will be able to deliver to you a list of chain stores in any
cross section you can imagine.  The downside is that there is a fee
involved, however, their fees seem quite reasonable.  Chain Store
