Hello again Tanny,

I have located the subscriber figures of the 4 companies for the 02/03
Q1 time range as well.

Regarding Hutchison 3G, I found a very recent article where they
discuss Hutchison’s market forecast for the year 2005.

There are a number of fee based reports available which include the
data you are requesting, however they can be very expensive. I can
give you the leads to these reports as well.

Please let me know if the information I have would suffice as an
answer.

Thanks

Tanny,

You must lower the price BEFORE I post my answer or you will be
charged the original $60.00.

How to change your question price:

Go to "My Account," select "My Unanswered Questions" and click on the
question with the price you want to change. Then click on "Change
Question Parameters" to modify the price.

Thanks

Hi Bobbie

As you have found the other info as well, I'm happy to keep at $60, so
please send on to me.

If I bid more money, do you think you could find the other info for me
or is it just unavailable? I really need it
thanks for your help.

Hello Tanny,

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to answer your question.
Unfortunately I was not able to find the other information you
requested or I would have gladly posted it for the same fee. I
included additional information that may interest you as well. I
suggest that you post another question with requesting the information
that is missing at a lower fee. Occasionally when questions are
difficult and made up of many parts, you may get better results by
posting a few smaller questions at a lower price than one complex high
priced question. Researchers may pass up a question if they are not
able to locate “all” the information necessary.

My search returned the following results for UK Mobile Phone Operator

Hutchison

Hutchison’s market forecast is discussed in a recent article dated
November 26, 2002 at the 3GNewsroom Website “Hutchison's leaked
business plan targets 5.2m users by 2005”

Here is a brief excerpt from the article:

“Hutchison 3G has targeted 5.2 million UK subscribers spending on
average £50 a month by 2005, reports the FT. It would account for 10%
of the market share in the UK, assuming there are 54 million mobile
users by that date. The plan was drawn up two years ago and was the
basis of securing a £3 billion loan from banks.”

Here is another recent article: Hutchison scales back 3G target for
UK: - Technical delays said to have forced rethinking on market share

“Hutchison had hoped, under its original plan, to attract 400,000
users in the UK by the end of 2001 and 1.5 million customers by the
end of 2002. But delays in the delivery of 3G handsets forced
Hutchison to scale back its ambitions, aiming to attract at most
100,000 users in the UK and Italy by the end of the year. (..)
Hutchison now hopes to have two million customers in Italy and the UK
combined by the end of 2003.”

“According to market research firm Analysys, a global adviser on
telecoms and new media, “there are currently 46.67 million mobile
phone subscribers in the UK, and therefore today's research shows that
operators could generate instant additional revenues of GBP15.59
million, not including additional calling time. Analysys also states
that monthly average revenue per user (ARPU) across all mobile phone
networks in the UK averages 29.7 Euro [GBP18.64] in 2002 - introducing
improved voice quality at a fee of GBP1 a month could increase APRU by
almost two per cent. This is a powerful way for operators to reverse
the downward trend in revenue per user and gives customers far greater
ease and flexibility in using their mobile phone.”
