I have listed the most popular German and Italian search
engines/portal sites below.
I was unable to come up with any sound data that showed which ones
were most popular, so I have listed the major ones that I could find
using extensive searches.
Also, I realize you asked me to exclude the international ones, but
have the major ones in the list as well, because I wasn’t sure which
ones to exclude.
I suggest that you submit your website(s) to all of them and you are
sure to reach your target German and Italian speaking audiences.
One final note, I excluded websites from this list with adult
advertisements content on the front page (see Google Terms of
Service), or that automatically tried to download files, reset the
home page, had huge amounts of pop up messages etc.
I spent a few hours compiling this list and hopefully it will be what
you were looking for. Please let me know if you need any
clarifications.
