FA Cup Football (soccer) watching in USA.

Oxford United vs Swindon Town (1pm GMT kick off 8th Dec)

I'm on holiday whilst one of the biggest games (for me) is being
played. The game is being broadcast live on BBC1. I want to watch this
in the USA (in Las Vegas to be more exact). Can anybody tell me if
this is possible ? Will any of the PPV channels carry the game ? If so
which ones ? I have checked BBC America and BBC World and they do not
have a listing. Its a long shot I know !

Hi matb!

As noted in the comment, the game in question won't be shown on
PayPerView (or anything else, alas) in Las Vegas.

Cox inDemand *is* airing one semi-final and three final soccer game
from the Central American and Carribean Games that weekend, though -
they aren't your teams, but perhaps they'll feed the craving a little!

Checking through Cox cable's "inDemand" listings for Las Vegas, it
appears that this match will not be shown in the US at all.

I've got a friend from Wales staying with me in Scottsdale, Arizona.
He watches some games on Fox Sports Net World, on DirecTV. You might
want to try there.

Good luck!

Hello matb-ga,

According to soccerTV.com (http://www.soccertv.com/england.cfm), the
11:00 GMT game will be shown on FOX Sports World in the US, (Harrogate
Railway vs Bristol City), but it doesn’t list your game.

Thanks for all the info

The upshot looks like I won't be able to. Looks like I will have to
listen to the radio over the net.

As missy was the first person to state it won't be possible if he/she
can post that I will accept that as the answer.

Cheers Mat

I don't suppose you'd be interested in a video recording of the game,
to watch when you get back home? :-)

Another possibility: You might find someone here who can record it on
computer and then send you the file by email, if you can find internet
access (i'm sure in las vegas you can) you'll be able to watch the
game with only a few hours delay. (Make sure not to be around anyone
who will tell you the score and ruin the fun for you...)
