Dear nerdito,
Unfortunately, my extensive research revealed that the company is not
existing anymore. The "Hickok-Matthews Silver Company" (please note
the spelling of 'Hickok') was located in Newark, New Jersey. They were
active from 1922 on. Later, they merged with the "Eleder Company" and
the "Lebkuecher Company", both from the same line of business. The
company's name was changed to "Eleder-Hickok Co.", and to "Eleder,
Hickok and Lebkuecher". The company vanished in 1949. A successor
company does obviously not exist, at least not one distinguishable by
its name. There is, alas, no evidence that the company was taken over
by another enterprise.
I am sorry I can't give you a more enjoyable answer. But should you
own pieces made by Hickok-Matthews, they might be valuable collector's
items now, since the manufacturer has dissapeared more than five
decades ago.
