Greetings Maya,

I don't blame you for being interested in living in Alaska - it is a
beautiful state. To work there, ofcourse alot depends on your personal
circumstances (if you are a student, what skills you have, if you have
relatives in the US, etc), but the first place to begin is to visit or
phone the US Consulate nearest to you. They will be able to provide
you with up-to-the-minute information and relevant applications
tailored to your personal needs.

A very popular way to try and obtain a Green Card (work Visa) is to
participate in the Green Card Lottery. Unfortunately, India cannot
participate at this time, but that changes from year to year:

working presently, but hopefully they're just updating their system):

I hope this helps you to sort through the tonnes of information
available - if you have a question, please ask for a clarification

postcards from Alaska soon!
Sincerely,
hummer

It should be noted that Alaska is a part of the united states (as
extreme as it is), and as such should require the same sort of work
visa and permitting procedure as the rest of the united states.
