(I'm reposting a question I posed earlier, but which was somehow
closed unintentionally).

Could you procure a music CD for me?  It's an import disc entitled 
"AQUAFAN" which I bought at the Virgin Records store in Milan, Italy 
in the summer of 2000. 
  Although the disc itself was stolen, I still have the case, which 
contains the following information which may 
be useful to you: 
 
AQUAFAN compilation (mixed by Mauro Miclini) 
For your reference, it includes some of the following songs:  
1.  Billy More "up & Down (Don't fall in love with me)"

Thanks so much for your answer!!!  The site is a little unclear in its
translation re (1) the availability of the CD; and (2) my purchase
options, i.e., whether I can (and if it's safe to) order by email or
if I must call.  Do you have additional info re these 2 matters?

I sent an email and will await a response -- but, I won't hold my
breath.  What do you think?

Hi again pumpkinpie,

It appears that they definitely claim a new copy is available.

I agree, the translation leaves a bit to be desired, but from what I
can tell, you can order by credit card through email. While this is
not the most secure method of ordering it is done often. I would
suggest an email with your name and address, then another with the
credit card number and yet a third with the expiration date. This way,
if one happens to be intercepted (highly unlikely, but possible) there
will not be enough information to use your card. Alert them aheadof
time if you decide to proceed this way so they will collect all three
before processing your order.

And most credit card companies offer either no liability for stolen
online credit card information, or a $50 maximum liability. So, your
level of risk is minimized.

I think I would give it a try if their return email shows promise.

How unfortunate that they claimed to have this CD and yet do not.

I have continued my search in several ways:

I have emailed several offices of Universo Spa as well as an American
friend in Italy seeking to find a copy. I also tried FDS Recording,
but their web site id not functional at this time. And Virgin Records
in Milan has a website under construction.

I will be back to post results as soon as I receive replies.

Don't give up hope just yet.

WOW Clouseau!!! You're great!! Thanks for not forgetting about me.  I
was actually beginning to lose hope!! I checked out those web sites
provided by Ericynot, but some of those sites don't sell CD's and the
others don't have what i'm looking for.  (There was one that listed an
Aquafan disc, but it didn't appear to be the one I'm searching for,
and the site failed to give track info).

Who would've imagined that a search for a fairly recent CD -- with all
of the relevant info -- would prove so difficult to locate (I knew I
resorted to you guys for reason!!!).

Hello again pumpkinpie,

Here's today's update.

I have email out to the record company and the recording studio.
Neither has yet replied. I'm surprised, but still have hope they will
reply. I also emailed the store that showed it on their web site just
to see if another person there might have a positive answer even
though your call showed otherwise.

My friend in Bosa reports that his connection in Remini says it is out
of print. But has has feelers out in other places, so all is not yet
lost.

I looked at the site ericynot mentioned and it is hard to tell, but as
far I can can find there were only 2 Aquafan compilations - 2001 and
2002. Since they list one without a date (at a very high price) and
Aquafan 2002, there is very good odds that the first one is the disc
you seek. But it is very hard to be 100% positive.

So, I will continue to see what I can find and post again, most likely
on Friday.

I did another search using 5 more search engines yesterday. I found
other Italian sites that show promise including the one listed below.
I emailed each one and once again remain surprised they have not yet
responded. Perhaps they avouid email in English?

Surprisingly, I have received very few replies to all the email I have
sent on this. I did receive the following from Dischi Volanti which
may explain the difficulty in finding this disc if they are accurate:

the only compilation of the serie "aquafan"
that is still availalbe is the edition of this year.
in italy, all dance compilations are available
only a few months. so, it will be impossible to
get the edition of 2001!

Researchers "Clouseau" and "Ericynot" did a fantastic job with my
difficult question!! Thanks Clouseau for your constant attention to my
question and for not letting me down!!! Most of all, thanks for

p.s. I would have tipped more -- but, given the price of my question,
the cost of calling and faxing Italy and the actual cost of the CD

lousy CD.
