Monreale and researchers --

The "Biographical Encyclopedia of Jazz," Feather & Gitler, 1999,
indicates that both Peterson and Maynard Ferguson went to the same
Montreal HS.  In fact, Peterson played in the band led by Percy
Ferguson, who is Maynard's brother.

The gotcha: the same guide says that Maynard went to the French
Conservatory of Music at Montreal; I don't know if that's the "high
school" or not.  BTW, Peterson was born in 1925; Ferguson in 1928.
