Hi blivet,

You will find the festival of the zafacasa (fête de la zafacasa) in
small communities of Peru.

"One of the traditional ceremonies still into force is the festival of
the zafacasa (put under roof of a house); a church of Ayacucho is
fixed on the ridge where it is often accompanied by figurines which
points out the profession of the owner of the house (country,
stockbreeder, etc...), and the entire village is invited to the
festival. The clothes industry of these figurines is done sometimes
using moulds."

"It is no coincidence that the place where Peru’s independence was
decided is also the nucleus of genuine Peruvian popular art: not
Andean, not Spanish, but a mix of both cultures."

"Quinua is a town famous by the exceptional ability of its potters,
who manufacture different pieces,called "Quinua ceramics" showing
local customs. Is located at 37 km (23 ml) from the capital. It was
the site of the famous Battle of Ayacucho, where the independence of
the country and expulsion of the Spanish troops was confirmed."
