Hello kb68, Thanks for your question. I must admit, I read your question and thought "why would you be asking this?" as I am still a Windows 98 user and scandisk is still to be found in an obvious place. However, I walked over to my roomates XP machine and was amazed that there was no Scandisk under Start Menu / Programs / Accessories / System Tools as I expected to find. I searched XP Help and found the answer for both of us: Open My Computer. Select the disk you wish to test. Go to the File Menu, and select properties. Go to the Tools tab and run Error Checking. There are several options here you can select as you wish. You will find this is the XP version of Scandisk. I trust this answers your question. Do let me know if you require clarification of the above. Best regards, -=clouseau=- | |
