This is version 8 of my question (re. patented floss holder). 5 stars guaranteed to new answerer.*****5*****5*****5*****5*****5*****5*****5** Please answer these questions only if you answered no question re. this product yet, you are living in USA and you are interested in flossing for yourself. The web-page http://www.geocities.com/emailerss/ is mostly how-to-use pictures, but please read all the text in the page. 1.Is it clear from this web-page how to use this product, and how many minutes have you (the researcher) spent on it? Have you read all the text in it? Please comment. 2.Would you ask one floss tensioner (if offered free) and use it at least seldom/partly? 3. Can you think of someone you know (including yourself) and could be interested to pay $3.33 for a 6-pack coming with free shipping & Handling fees (one piece is good for about 250 flossing sessions or days, 6 in pack)? Please comment. You can be as brief as you wish. |

Hello Googel! I will start off by saying I am from the USA (east coast) and that I floss every time I brush. At first glance your invention looks strange to the floss user who has only used a length of floss string with no other devices except his hands. After spending some time looking over the site, I see how it works, holding the floss taught makes with the handle might make it easier to get those pesky back teeth that are always so hard to reach when flossing the 'correct' way as told by my dentist. Under your specific questions I will put my specific answers (opinions really). ---------------------------------------------------------------- 1.Is it clear from this web-page how to use this product, and how many minutes have you (the researcher) spent on it? Have you read all the text in it? Please comment. ---------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Images - Yes. Text - Kind of. I have to say I found the text confusing. It is written in sentence fragments and seems hard to understand some parts. (See below for specific examples of this.) The images however were very clear and after about 30 seconds to a minute of puzzling out what moves and what goes where and how it's all connected I was able to figure out exactly how this would work. The pictures are a must as they clear up any ambiguity in the text. Specific examples of text I think are unclear: 1 for: 250 times all tooth use. I think this means: 1 Tensioner = 250 flossings (a flossing implies flossing all your teeth in one session). Where you have 6-pack=$3.33 in the upper right hand corner you have question marks. This seems be a bit confusing. Is it or isn't it $3.33 for a 6 pack? The question marks make this seem unclear. Then again, it could be that you have not finalized the price yourself and the question marks mean the price is not set yet. Or do the question marks have another significance that I am missing? The part of the text that says: --to keep one hand still while the jaw does all the work brings back memories of trying to brush my teeth by keeping the tooth brush still and moving only my head as a child :) Flossing requires more slower coordinated movements and so this method would work when flossing (but if you try to do that when brushing you might get a sore neck). This part wasn't unclear; I just wanted to comment on that. "one hand flossing" might sound better as "one handed flossing" because "one-handed" acts as an adjective instead of a noun. (It describes how you floss instead of what is currently flossing). I think it should be hyphenated as well. See http://www.grammartips.homestead.com/hyphens1.html The small size of the tensioner is definitely a plus. It could fit in your wallet (or purse for the ladies) and be hidden away until needed. The picture with the credit card is a good example of its size. ---------------------------------------------------------------- 2.Would you ask one floss tensioner (if offered free) and use it at least seldom/partly? ---------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Yes. If someone who used this product offered me one for free I would try it and see how well it would work. If it made flossing any easier then I would probably use it (and re-use it as long as it would last). ---------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Can you think of someone you know (including yourself) and could be interested to pay $3.33 for a 6-pack coming with free shipping & Handling fees (one piece is good for about 250 flossing sessions or days, 6 in pack)? Please comment. ---------------------------------------------------------------- 3. No (not at this time for me). This isn't the kind of thing I would buy over the internet because I would usually buy this type of thing (brush, toothpaste, floss, etc) at a department store or drug store that sells stuff like this. I buy dental stuff there because there might be something else that I need and the store I am at might have it to buy right there. I do not know of anyone else who would use this. I have been informed that you can buy floss tensioner with floss already on them but they cost more and are not reusable. Perhaps you could add floss in the package with it (if it wouldn't cost too much extra for you). Right now $3.33 is a little steep for me -- I just went Christmas shopping and have nothing extra left -- but last month at this time $3.33 would be an acceptable price if that was the total price for the 6-pack with s&h included. I hope that my opinions are constructive and that this helps you with your floss tensioner. If anything is unclear then please request clarification before rating my answer and I will be happy to clarify my opinions. Good luck with your product! --arcadesdude |

Hello Arcadesdude-ga, Excellent answer. I am sorry i can't suppliment my offer with a tip, since this runs against my "policy" re. this product and this kind of questions. I prefere feel ashamed. All your remarks/suggestions will be considered carefully. Re. "The pictures are a must as they clear up any ambiguity in the text.",-- thank you, my intention exactly ("less is more" -- when it comes to text to read about this product, i think). Re. "Is it or isn't it $3.33 for a 6 pack? The question marks make this seem unclear. Then again, it could be that you have not finalized the price yourself and the question marks mean the price is not set yet.",-- you got it right: price is not set yet . Thank you very much, Arcadesdude-ga. |

Hi, i'm neither in the USA or a researcher but It seems to me that you are testing the waters a little as to reactions to your idea. I do however, as a consumer, buy all kinds of things and am pretty open to new concepts - hence me using google answers on occcasion. The first thing I noticed about your web page is that it is leaves me with the impression that this is not a 100% finished product, I would not suggest you use it as the basis for your finished web page (if you are going to have one) or our marketing materials - you need to convey a compelling reason why I should be reading more about your product - you need a hook - some use flashy graphics, teasers (bit of mystery), sex etc. Secondly in the UK where I live I have bought a pack of pre-tensioned single use flossing devices - they are like a little plastic wishbone with a bit of floss stuk between it - I believe they were around £2 for 25. Personally I used one or two then went back to flosing as I wanted more control over the floss and didnt feel I had that with a tool - my gums are quite sensitive and it felt more painfull than using my fingers to control the tension. Good luck with your venture. |
