I went directly to the JVC website at www.jvc.com. Here I selected
Consumer Products, then service and support. On the resulting page:

As you can see, it is the proper model and the price, most likely even
with shipping to Norway will be below your stated maximum. I clicked
add to cart to follow their ordering process and to see if there were
exceptions to where they would ship. I proceeded to checkout and found
that there was no way here to enter a country other than the USA for
shipping address.
Unfortunately, I did find that JVC USA does not ship outside the US:

Currently, JVC cannot ship outside the United States. A physical
address (No P.O.BOX, AE, or APO address) in the U.S. or Puerto Rico is
required.

I went to JVC Europe / Norway at

and finding accessories. JVC UK at http://www.jvc.co.uk/ offered
little more. Their customer support requires that you are in the UK to
contact them. Their links page to support for Norwegian users refers
back to the JVC Norway site and finally, this page to email:

I would think that your local distributor in Norway, being informed
that the part is available in the USA as noted above, would endeavor
to obtain this for you. I would definitely complete the form above to
see. And if not, as I have mentioned, a friend or business associate
in the US should be able to obtain this for you from the JVC USA
website and forward to you wherever you desire.

I have contacted JVC in USA, so far I have not received any reply
regarding their ability to send the remote control to Norway.
Unfortunately, I do not have any associates in the US which I could
ask to order and reship the item for me.
I have been in contact with the Norwegian JVC distributor previously,
they have informed me that they will charge something around NOK 1000
(~ US$ 130) plus shipping. This is unacceptable. They have not given
me a definite quote, I have contacted them again to obtain a more
specific price.
I'll get back to you when (if ) I receive an answer from JVC in the US
and Norway. If their replies are still negative, I will not regard
the answer as satisfactory.

Hello again blazius,
I wanted to let you know I am still pursuing this for you.
I tried several different approaches this morning by contacting Mail
Boxes, Etc and Emery Air Freight to see if the package could be
shipped to you in care of their faciltities and for them to forward it
on to Norway for you. The difficulty here is that International
shipping has become a bit more conservative in recent months and these
companies will not fill out the export documentation required on your
behalf. As JVC Amercia does not ship out of the USA, they also will
not fill out the export docs. And since Google Answers Researchers are
prohibited from having personal contact with our customers, I'm afraid
I can not offer this service to you either.
I had hoped that since it is available at JVC US at a reasonable
price, that you would know a friend or relative or business associate
that could accept and forward this for you. I still believe this is
perhaps your best option if you can think of someone to assist you.
You might also try calling Emery in Norway to see if it is possible to
have them make arrangements to pick up at JVC for you and have the
papers filled out in Oslo. They can be reached at:

I did call JVC to see what other options exist, however have spent
literally hours on hold and have not yet reached a customer service
representative. I shall continue to try until I am successful in
making contact and will post results as soon as I have done so.
