realdeal,
I'm afraid the news I have isn't very good. From the Virginia State
Police FAQ:
"Q: I lost my copy of a traffic summons issued to me by a state
trooper, what should I do? Can you tell me how much I owe? Where do I
send my fine?
A: The management information systems of the Virginia State Police do
not allow us to locate or identify to the level of specificity the
exact location or jurisdiction where a summons is issued.
Unfortunately without knowing the exact location where the summons was
issued or the trooper involved, we do not have the capacity to provide
you with the court where your case is to be heard.
Provided you gave the trooper your current mailing address you will be
receiving notification from the court of your case disposition.
If you can recall either the troopers name or the jurisdiction where
the violation occurred, you can contact the state police office that
has responsibility for that city or county and provide you with the
court where your case is scheduled to be heard, and the telephone
number."
VSP FAQ

You must be able to provide the VSP with *at least* the name of the
city you were closest to in order to find out where your case will be
heard, and you *must* call personally. The VSP *will not* release
information to third parties, for any reason.
If you know the city you were closeset to, you can get the name of the
county whose office you'll need to contact from the VSP Administrative
Headquarters, which does maintain a 24-hour telephone number:
804-674-2000
You can find the telephone numbers for the VSP offices here:

Good luck!!
