Hello googlenut,
It's a pleasure to hear from you again! Thank you for looking
in. I sure appreciate it. I sure committed an Oops on this entry,
didn't I. Good eye. She died on March 21,1981. I got that info out of
his biography. But I'm not so sure how hard the author dug. I can't
find her listed on the SS death index, so I'm a little hesitant. She
went by Kay and all his runners knew her personally when they visited
his house. She fed them home cooking. Anyway, thank you for taking a
look again. You may have noticed that I've slowed my requests way
down, so the researchers could have time to look over my older stuff,
much of which isn't juicy, and hence has been passed over. Thanks
googlenut! Bluestreak

Hi bluestreak-ga,

How certain are you about her date of death? A NY Times obit for Jumbo
Elliott has it as "[Catherine] died last Feb. 21 after a long
illness." I'm unclear as to whether this means she died in 1980 or
1981.

luciaphile,
That reference was not clear to me either. I always tried it
both ways on search engines. It's not written very clearly. It was
written in exactly the same way in his biography. Probably taken from
there, I'll bet. Bluestreak
