This song is an original 1991 MIDI composition by Passport Designs
Inc. and produced by Music Data Company. Passport designs was a
software corporation that produced products such as Encore and
MusicTime; files such as "yosemite" were included in many of their
MIDI products (another you may be familar with is "Passport.mid").
However, in 1998 Passport Designs was acquired by G-VOX Entertainment.
Music Data Company was spun-off by Passport designs; they produced
some of Passport Design's original compositions and also developed
many MIDI renditions of classical, rock, and pop tunes.

Information was somewhat scarce for this song. However, let me know
if you need a clarification on something. Thanks

Sorry, I forgot to mention one thing. Composer/publisher information
for many MIDI files can be found by opening the file in an
editor--such as Cakewalk--or by using a special utility. I checked
the file you linked, and also looked at several other "yosemite.mid"
files from other servers.

A free MIDI info tool can be found here ("gmi.zip"):
