We are currently doing a project on International Management field.
The aim of the project is to analyse the possibility of entering a new
car mats market in France, Germany and UK.
Background:
It is only a small company, situated in the Netherlands. The company
produces only car mats and seat covers. The products are sold in the
Netherlands only.
The company is now considering expanding their products their market.
They have to choose one of these 3 countries: France, Germany, and UK.
The company only deals with aftermarket and therefore will distribute
their products via retailers, dealers, garages, and car wash.
Question:
What are the opportunities and threats will be faced by the company in
each of the potential market? (the main consideration: they are all
the member of European Union, and therefore possess similar
characteristics, e.g. no entry tax, stable and similar economic growth
and inflation rate, etc). |
