Okay, I KNOW that using other listserv software can solve my problem,
but I don't want to change all of my online documentation and confuse
my users. I also want to avoid a system upgrade. I'd like to know why
my computer crashes and how to stop it.
Problem: Macintosh crashes while running macjordomo 1.5fc28 . For
example I strt up the computer and everything will load just fine,
macjordomo runs a few times without any problems serving my mailing
lists-- but then it crashes, since I run "Keep it up" it gets
reloaded... only to crash again 4-5 times before the whole computer
freezes.
System: G4 running OS 9.1
Other Programs: hotline server, omnibot, outlook5, IE5.1, EIMS (eudora
mail server) 2.X, verizon macpoet DSL, websharing, keep it up
Macjordomo 1.5fc28 is: serving 8 lists, with 30-150 people on each,
about 4 emails per a day per a list... the crash is not related to any
one list. (I've watch it crash with the log on a few times and there
seems to be no clear cause.) It's ana error of type 10 (memory?) but
when watching the "about this computer" thing ... no luck...
Tried so far: removing Energy Saver control pannel, turning virtutal
memory on and off, just serving one lists instead of 8, increasing
the memory partition for Macjordomo, ONLY running macjordodmo and
EIMS...
There is very little information online about macjordomo! All I've
found is:

I joined the mailing list for these type of questions, but it seems to
be defunct and has no archives! |
