Hello shar-ga,

There is a very extensive body of research and literature on the topic
of decision-making. I’ve included a selection of links so you can
conduct further research on the many different approaches available. I
took your request that you needed materials on “a specific decision
making technique” to mean that you wanted to be able to prepare a
presentation without having a previously determined decision making
method. I’ve chosen consensus decision making as an easily manageable
topic for your presentation. I’ve collected definitions of the model,
descriptions of uses, discussions of pros and cons and additional
supporting documents. I’ll be happy to clarify any of this. I wish you
success in preparing your presentation.

Consensus Decision Making
Consensus is a process for group decision-making. It is a method by
which an entire group of people can come to an agreement. The input
and ideas of all participants are gathered and synthesized to arrive
at a final decision acceptable to all. Through consensus, we are not
only working to achieve better solutions, but also to promote the
growth of community and trust.

Iwould prefer a business technique, but a personal or medical
technique would be acceptable also.

Iwould like additional information - I thought I accidentally posted
to someone else. I'd like articles on typical business situations -
investments, new product development, Human Resource issues, etc.
Thank you.

Hello again,
I'd like to help but I'm not sure how to proceed. I gave you a
spectrum of links on various decision making models applicable in
business (and other) settings. Any model you choose would have pros
and cons for use in any particular situation. For example, the
consensus-building model I offered is increasingly applied in business
settings. If you would like, I could find additional materials to back
this up.

Are you saying that you don't care about which model I choose as long
as it presents a business-oriented case study? Or are you trying to
find a case study to address a specific business problem?

Please let me know what else you need to be able to develop your
presentation on decision making.
