I am looking for a specific poem, by Jan Twardowsky. I don't know its

"Finally he wrote only GOD. Nothing more. But it was still too much"

Dear ziv_zsl,

The poem you are looking for is "Nic więcej":

--

Nic więcej

Napisał "Mój Bóg" ale podkreœlił, bo przecież pomyœlał
o tyle mój, o ile jestem sobkiem
napisał "Bóg ludzkoœci" ale się ugryzł w język, bo przypomniał
sobie jeszcze aniołów i kamienie podobne w œniegu do królików
wreszcie napisał tylko " Bóg". Nic więcej
Jeszcze za dużo napisał

(Jan Twardowski)

--

"wreszcie napisał tylko " Bóg". Nic więcej" is exactly the part you
quoted: "Finally he wrote only 'God'. Nothing more."

Dear ziv_zsl,

To see the poem without the Polish special characters scrambled, you
might want to read it on this website:
