I'm trying to find the site where I downloaded an article titled
"Origins". I has 3 parts 1) timeline- 2) origins of common
interaction devices- 3) HCI in academia.
The site at the bottom of the page yields nothing. My e-mail to
nick.parlante@cs.stanford was returned as undeliverable.

Hello Daddymac and thank you for your question.

The article titled “Origins” that you are looking for can be found at
this link:
http://www-cse.stanford.edu/classes/sophomore-college/projects-01/human-computer-interaction/origins.htm

To find the article I did a search on Google with these keywords:

"Origins" “timeline” "origins of common interaction devices” “HCI in
academia”
://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=%22Origins%22+%E2%80%9Ctimeline%E2%80%9D+%22origins+of+common+interaction+devices%E2%80%9D+%E2%80%9CHCI+in+academia%E2%80%9D

This search returned one result which was the article that you’re
looking for.

Origins
http://www-cse.stanford.edu/classes/sophomore-college/projects-01/human-computer-interaction/origins.htm

Here is the main menu where the article can be found. Just click on
the word Origins on the left side of the page:
http://cse.stanford.edu/class/sophomore-college/projects-01/human-computer-interaction/

After http there should have been a colon instead of a semi-colon
This tiny mistake in the link made it impossible for you to get to the
article.

Search Criteria:
"Origins" timeline "origins of common interaction devices” HCI in
academia

I hope you find this helpful and if there is anything that I've
written that needs clarification, please ask before you rate this
answer.

Best Regards,

daddymac-ga rated this answer:5 out of 5 stars and gave an additional tip of: $10.00
fast accurate answer/I couldn't have asked for more. I,also,
appreciated receiving the reason I couldn't get through. I should
have typed a colon instead of a semi-colon. Thanks, ml
