What is currently the most popular used operating system for home PC consumers? It's probably Windows 98 or Windows ME, but I'm looking for percentage distribution such as 30% Windows 98, 20% Windows ME, 10% Windows 2000, 5% Windows XP Home, 2% Windows XP Pro. |

My website keeps stats for what OS is being used when the user goes to the website. I get about 600 unique visitors per day. For the month of november, I had 36.5% of my users using windows xp, 29.8% using windows 98, 14.8% using windows me, 12% using windows 2000, 2.1% mac, 1.6% unknown, 1.2% windows 95, 1.2% windows nt, 0.3% linux, and less than 0.1% each using web tv, solaris, windows 3.1, freebsd, hp unix, and dreamcast, in that order. |

Hi, You probably know this, but officially Windows has 95% market share in home operating systems. In the server market they don't have a share that big. |
