Hi,

Thank you very much for your question. Intel provides very little
information about the exact architecture of its processors. Surpassing
the 3 GHz mark, the Intel Pentium 4 processor at 3.06 GHz offers
higher levels of performance, creativity and productivity. I have
found a rough Functional Block Diagram of the Pentium 4 for you. You
can download the picture from here:

http://iconocaste.web1000.com/pentium%204.jpg

Alternatively you can find the same picture at
http://www.phys.uu.nl/~steen/web02/pentium4.html

You can also find a functional diagram of Pentium Processors in
general on Page 6 of this particular paper:
http://www.csee.usf.edu/~smohanty/research/ArchiSurveyReport.pdf

Additional Links:

Design details of the Pentium 4:

Design Data sheets of the P4:

The Official Site for the Pentium pro 4:
http://www.intel.com/products/desk_lap/processors/desktop/pentium4/index.htm?iid=Homepage+SpotTop_head_021202&

Search strategy:
"Functional block diagram" pentium 4

Thank you once again for your question.

Warm Regards,
Shiv Reddy
