I'm helping a Plumber friend of mine, Shane, set up his website.
The bones of his main page are already assembled at:

I want to identify other sites, the webmasters of whom
I could approach with a view to trading links. My intention
would be to send each webmaster one short, courteous email,
offering to provide a link to their site in return for their
linking back.
I am hoping to contact webmasters whose sites do not necessarily
have to be plumbing - related in themselves, but which *are*
found near the top of a Gogle search for the searchterms listed
below, the idea being that the surfer may eventually click through
to Shane's site, having originally started out with a related
search. For instance, maybe they begin with a search for
'lancashire bricklayer', because they're building a new
bathroom, but then find Shane's site via a link from the
'lancashire bricklayer''s site. I hope that makes sense ;-)
Examples of relevant searchterms might be:
ormskirk, lancashire, northwest uk, liverpool, southport,
preston, st helens, wigan, builder, electrician, tradesman,
plans drawn, interior design, bricklayer, plasterer,
building services, repairman, repair... combinations thereof..
This list of terms above is not exclusive - if you can use your
imagination to add to it, 'think outside the box', please do.

The sites I'm looking to contact should conform to the following:
- must be listed on goog;e or be reasonably likely to be in future
- must display some open method of contacting the webmaster
- should ideally lend themselves in some way to the inclusion of
links.
The quantity of links provided is up to you, and what you can find.
I will tip to the value of $0.40 per contactable site, up to a maximum
of 100 sites i.e. $40.

Hi there Gan,
I've been working on likely links for Shane's site for about 2.5 hours
now, and I don't know if I'm slow today, or if it's because the
computer is moving like it's freezing cold and has arthritis. At any
rate, I've got 15 links so far, but if that's enough to get you
started, I could post those as an answer for you.
Alternatively, I can try again later when the computer loosens up. I
anticipate I'll be able to find about 50 sites for you.
