We aquired several green wine bottles about 4 gallon in size. They
are pear shaped, packed in a bushelbasket and lined with straw. A
top, made of wooden lath, goes upward, cone shaped to the top where
there is a stamped sheet metal ring. The letters stamped on the ring
are as follows: ROCHOMAS - BREVETE S.G.D.G - PERRIN FLLS. Looking
for origin, winemaker, vintage. Good luck. "12L mark on bottle bottom. |

Dear peterkite,
I have bad news for you, I'm afraid. The inscription does not refer to
the wine, but to the bottles. A French product marked "Breveté
S.G.D.G." is protected by a patent for technical specifications. In
this case, the bottle or parts of it are obviously meant, since wine
could not be subject to a technical patent. There is a vine company
Perrin in France, but I don't think the inscription refers to them;
the name of the vineyard would surely not be mentioned next to the
patent for the bottle.
