For my benchmarking report, I need to know by the 4 network operators,
Orange, T Mobile (formerly one2one), O2(formerly BT Cellnet)and
Vodafone the connections split by contract and pre-paid phones by
route to market. The particular routes to market in which I am
interested are:

Dixons -
Carphone Warehouse -
The Link
4U
Supermarkets
Orange owned Retail shops
Vodafone shops
T Mobile owned shops
O2 Owned shops
Direct dealers
Distributors

i.e. I need to know out of the total number of connections each
network do on a quarterly basis on prepaid connections and post paid
(contract connections) what % can be attributed to each of their sales
channels and what volume this % represents

I find myself boggled by "connections". Do you mean subscriptions
purchased at each of the shops mentioned here?

Hi

Yes, I do mean subscriptions otherwise known as connections. Contract
connections are where the customer has signed up to a 12 month
contract and has to pay a monthly line rental. Pre-paid are where a
customer buys the phone and then buys top up cards / vouchers to make
and receive calls.

Hope this helps
