When are you shown this error message?

How do you typically connect to the Internet? What version of Windows
are you using on the problem system?

Have you uninstalled and reinstalled any software provided by your
internet provider?

Have you uninstalled and reinstalled dialup networking, if applicable?
Uninstalled and reinstalled TCP/IP? Any other networking protocols
that may be installed?
