I have a few questions:

1) What version of Windows are you running?

2) What kind of sound card do you have? (IF not sure, then at least
tell me the brand name and model of your computer.)

3) Do you have any of the following installed on the computer?
          -Adobe Photoshop
          -Adobe Photoshop Elements
          -VivoActive Player

4) Have you experienced any problems with the volume control?

Hi,

Is Norton Antivirus already installed or are you getting this message
trying to install it? What is the exact text of the error message?

To Sparky4ca: The message talks about the hard disk volume control
file, not the sound volume...

I don't have answers to all your questions. I have Windows 98 and a
Pionex computer.I was able to find a free download of a replacement
Master Control program that seems to have fixed the problem for now.
Thanks.
