Hello, can anyone tell me how I can get a list of the clients who
were declined for a mortgage loan in NH or MA? Is there a list
maintained by the state or some other source? How can I obtain the
list?

Wow! I would be furious if I found out that the personal information
that I was turned down for a mortgage was considered a public record!
I can see that it might be part of a credit record, however, but that
is not quite the same thing.

Could you please document how you know such a list exists for Maine?
Perhaps that would help us answer the question re: NH and Mass.

Thanks!

Only other additional information I have is a real estate company in
ME
gets their business by obtaining this list and then calling the not so
good credit people and then they secure a loan for them. Esentially
they
get their business from a list that the state publishes. Although I
have
not seen the list, so they could be pulling my leg about the state
portion of
the question. However they do fantastic business in the state of
Maine! So they get the list from someplace.

I should think such a list would be considered invasion of privicy,
and any errors in the list, would leave the list maker subject to
large lible suits. If any exist, I suspect they are kept secret. Neil

I was told that the list is maintained by the state and it is in fact
open to the public. I know such a list exists for the state of Maine,
but I don't know how to get the list for New Hampshire.
