We have a Cisco router (2600 series) attached to a T1, with an ISDN backup. We are a small office (8 people) and have been tesitng Optimum On-Line business cable access (Motorola Surfboard Modem). My question is; when we get rid of the T1 to save money, what do I need to do to have that cable modem replace the T1 on the router? What "card" do I need from Cisco? And is it easy to configure the router to accept this? FYI: right now we have 4 users on a linksys router using Optimum.. The whole point is to keep the ISDN backup in case the cable modem goes down. Thank You | |
