A great Hungarian restaurant in Ghiraldelli Square .. set up by the
man who invented the crepe making machine used in the chain of "Magic
Pan" restaurants in the '70s.  "PF" had great Hungarian food, smashing
'langos' and gulyas ... sigh ... need to find the manager who was from
Peru, as I recall.

If anyone would know how to contact the former manager of Paprikas
Fono, it would be the people at the Fono's two current restaurants.

Previously, you might have tried the Big Sky Ranch at Ghirardelli
Square, which was the successor to Paprikas Fono; it even served
Hungarian food!  But since it's not listed on Ghirardelli Square
current dining page ( http://www.ghirardellisq.com/dine/index.shtml ),
I assume it's closed.

These days, Paulette and Lazlo Fono own two restaurants -- Babbo's and
Bravo Fono -- at the Stanford Shopping Center.

Stanford Shopping Center web site.  You might try to call one or both
of the restaurants, ask for the managers, and see if they can put you
in contact or at least pass along a message.
