This page, on the Hewlett Packard website, outlines
the procedure for correcting the document printing
order when enabling duplex, or dual-sided printing
for the 600, 700 and 800 series from inside
WordPerfect 6.0. The first few steps indicate how
to choose duplex printing:
=================================================
1. From the File Menu, choose Select Printer.
2. Verify that the appropriate HP DeskJet printer
   is selected.
3. Choose Setup.
4. Select Two-Sided Printing; Ordered Printing will
   automatically be selected.
5. Choose OK, then choose Close.
6. From the File Menu, select Print.

The process for enabling two-sided printing from
MS Office Word in Windows XP will be very similar,
in that you would select 'File' --> 'Print' and
make sure your desired printer is selected, then
click 'Properties' for that printer and then choose
'Two-Sided Printing'.

If you want to enable duplex printing by default
(every time you use the printer), you can do this
by selecting 'Start' --> 'Settings' --> 'Control
Panel' --> 'Printers'. Right-click the printer you
want to set up, and select 'Properties', then
select 'Two-sided Printing'.

Most likely, you will not want to set this as a
default, however, and will only want to enable it
from within the program you are working in, when
you want to print that particular document on both
sides of the paper.

The correct driver for both the 672C and the 720C
should be on the Windows XP CD, and the installation
is outlined on this page from the HP website:
http://www.hp.com/cposupport/printers/support_doc/bpd09005.html

The Setup and User's Guides for the 720c are
available for download in pdf file format here:
http://h20015.www2.hp.com/en/manualCategory.jhtml?lc=en&pagetype=manual&prodId=dj720c&sw_lang=en

Such a guide is not available for the 672c, but
there is a page on the User Interface and Driver
Utilities on this page at the HP website:
http://h20015.www2.hp.com/en/document.jhtml?lc=en&docName=bpd04351&prodId=dj672c

It explains about two-sided printing as follows:
==================================================
      Two Sided Printing

"The printer will allow for manual "duplex" or
"two-sided" printing. This means the driver
will print every other page, prompt for reloading
of the paper, and print the other pages on the
opposite sides of the paper. The methods are book
or tablet. When two sided printing is selected,
ordered printing will automatically be selected
and the selection will become grayed out. Two
different instruction screens exist that will
appear, depending upon whether printing in book
or tablet mode. When reloading the paper, make
certain to follow the loading instructions on
 the screen."
==================================================

The 720c will have very similar options outlined
in the User's Guide, noted above.

In order to open and view the contents of a pdf
file, you will need to have the free Acrobat Reader
installed on your computer. If you don't already
have it, you can download it from Adobe here:

Are you using the 672 or the 720?

In either case you should make sure you hav the latest drivers from www.hp.com
