Google stores every search category I have ever used in my browser. I don't like this and I want to be able to clear this data. Deleting the Google cookie doesn't work. How can I clear this information from my browser? I have Windows XP and Internet Explorer |

Hello frank76, It is not actually Google who is storing the past search phrases that you have used, but a feature in internet explorer that is designed to prevent people from having to type the same information again and again. (I am assuming by search category that you mean searches that you have done in the past... if I am completely off base, please let me know). 1) Open up Internet Explorer. 2) Click on Tools and select Internet Options. 3) Click on the Content tab and then click Autocomplete. 4) Remove the checkmark for "Forms" (or you can remove all the checkmarks if you don't want this feature at all. 5) Click Clear Forms. 6) Click OK, then click OK again. 7) Restart Internet Explorer and it will be gone! Hopefully this is what you were looking for. If you need any clarifications, please let me know and I will do my best to further assist you. tisme-ga |
