I am interested in starting a small wetland consulting company in
Florida.
I need to know where in Florida would be the best locations to begin a
new wetland consulting business for it to succeed. Wetland consultants
typically perform delineations, mitigations, evaluations, etc. and can
operate with very low overhead. I do not want to start a mega-size
firm. Just me and a few key employees doing only wetland consulting.

Things to consider would be 1) current need for services based on
amount of wetlands and amount of land development, 2) number of and
strength of competitors, 3) likely future growth in wetland consulting
needs, 4) underserved areas.

Good areas might include those that generate a high demand for wetland
delineations, but do not have enough consultants and require services
from out of town companies.

My guess is Orlando, Florida, which is expanding into the suburbs
rapidly. Some of the theme parks are expanding even though guests are
still a bit below 9-11 numbers. I live in Jacksonville, Florida. The
only thing happening here is incredible spending by our mayor.  Neil
