charlie54321 -

I have located a Richard Krause who studies pottery - could this be
the person you are referring to?

If not - could you provide more information about Reichard Krause?
Country of origin? Date of birth?

Thanks,
ragingacademic

Dear charlie54321-ga
I have found a little information on the subject but before I go
further could you tell me a little more about what you are seeking. In
view of the price of question I do not wish to give you just a two
line reply.

I have now collected quite a bit of information about majolica -
better known by some alternate names. However, outside of the
previous connection with an academic by the name of Richard Krause who
studies pottery, not able to make a link between Krause and this
ceramic style.

Could you please provide some additional information?

thanks,
ragingacademic

Evidently figurines were at least part of his body of work. Here is
one example:

Majolica figurine, 21" ht., marked 589, R.M. Krause, Schwardnitz,
Schlesien, has holder for a candle, table or bowl, line in glaze on
underside, a few small chips repaired

(600-800)

The name is obviously German. I searched for German Majolica Krause.

Here are two reference works that might prove helpful with further
information.
