Dear guyb,

You requested references on obsolescence or uselessness of ERP.

Here are several references I have come across – all except for
Orenstein’s “Dogged by History” are available on the Web.
Unfortunately, Upside magazine went under earlier this year and you
will probably have to head over to your local library to retrieve this
article.

Borck, J. R. (2002, Dec 10). ERP Faces Rocky Road. Infoworld.
Available: http://www.infoworld.com/articles/op/xml/01/05/14/010514opborck.xml.

Boyer, J. E. (2002). The Future of ERP and Manufacturing Management.
J. E. Boyer Company, Inc. Available: http://www.jeboyer.com/erp1.htm.

Hagman, A. (NA). What Will be of ERP? Queensland University of
Technology. Available: http://www.methodmedia.net/erp/main.htm.

Menezes, J. (1999, Nov 26). ERP fails to improve bottom line, says
Forrester. Communications and Networking. Available:

NA. (2002). ERP: Supply Chain Enablers or Disablers? ERP and Supply
Chain Management. Available:
http://erp-india.hypermart.net/FutureofERP.html.

Orenstein, D. (2000, May). Dogged by History. Upside, 12, 138-148.

Staff. (2002). ERP Center. Tonsoft. Available:
http://www.tonsoft.com/erpzs/erpll/erp_en.htm.

Staff. (2002 (?)). Poor Implementations Give ERP a Bad Image. Intentia
International AB. Available:
http://www.intentia.com/w2000.nsf/Index!Openframeset&Frame=Middle&src=/w2000.nsf/pages/Pap_758ACF.

I hope this response adequately addresses your request. Please let me
know if you are in need of additional information concerning this
query.
Thanks,
ragingacademic
